The New 2024 Ford-Maverick

Ford launched the Maverick Hybrid in the national market , in the Lariat top version, with a price of $25,890. The pickup has hybrid propulsion that allows an autonomy of more than 800 km, with combined consumption of 14.6 km/l.

According to official data, the Maverick Hybrid accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.7 seconds.

The hybrid propulsion system of the new pickup, consisting of an Atkinson 2.5 petrol engine and an electric motor, strengthens its proposal for urban use. This set generates a combined power of 194 hp and allows the vehicle to travel 15.7 km/l in the city and 13.6 km/l on the road, with a range of more than 800 km. The Maverick Hybrid pickup is available in ten body color options: Aurora Red, Delhi Orange, Lyse Blue, Malacara Blue, Dover Grey, Dew Silver, Torres Grey, Asturias Black and Arctic White, in addition to the new Atlas Blue. The design maintains straight lines and proportions. The length is 5,110 mm and the height is 1,733 mm, with a wheelbase of 3,076 mm. The cabin adopts ActiveX upholstered seats with electric adjustment in eight positions for the driver and manual in six positions for the passenger. The leather-wrapped steering wheel features height and depth adjustment. The rotary gear selector and electric parking brake free up space on the console and facilitate access to the various storage compartments.

The compartment under the rear seat, with 58 liters. With the seat opening at 90º, it has access to accommodate items such as backpacks and sports equipment. The doors, with space for 1.5 liter bottles, an umbrella and even slots to transport a bike. The acoustic windshield contributes to the surprisingly quiet interior.

The bucket, with a capacity of 943 liters and 659 kg, is fully functional. 1344 mm long and standard width to accommodate a pallet (1353 mm). It’s lined with durable material and features clever compartments on the sides, eight attachment points and slots for dividers. The lid can be opened in an intermediate position to transport larger objects and the hitch preparation allows towing up to 400 kg.

Mechanics

The Maverick is equipped with a Duratec 2.5 petrol engine, Atkinson cycle and variable controls, with a torque of 210 Nm (@ 4,000 rpm), coupled to an e-CVT transmission, where the electric traction motor and also a generator are integrated. . This advanced transmission uses planetary gears and has a reduced function for steep climbs and descents. The two engines, electric and combustion, work separately or together to drive the front wheel drive. This selection is made automatically, without driver action, to offer the best performance and output based on torque and power demand and battery charge level.

The regenerative brake with assistance on ramps, the active aerodynamic grid, the Auto Start-Stop system and the high efficiency tires, measuring 225/60 R18, contribute to the Maverick Hybrid reaching a combined consumption of 14.6 km/l (standard INMETRO). The fuel tank holds 57 liters.

The traction battery, made of lithium-ion cells, has a capacity of 1.1 kWh and a maximum power of 27 kW. It weighs 27 kg, has a liquid cooling system and is extremely compact, which allows it to be installed under the floor without interfering with cabin space.

The vehicle also comes with five driving modes: Normal, Tow, Slippery, Eco and Sport, which automatically adjust the stability and traction control, throttle and steering sensitivity to optimize performance and safety in each driving condition.

Connectivity

With the FordPass application, you can schedule services – including pick-up and delivery at home – and check prices online, in addition to monitoring their execution in real time and having 24-hour technical support.

The application also allows remote locking and unlocking to be controlled via cell phone, remote start with climate control, receive operating and alarm alerts, locate the vehicle and check the range, odometer and tire pressure.
