Sports convertible has a 620 hp 3.9 biturbo V8 and eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Last week, the first SF90 Stradale in Latin America arrived in Brazil . But Ferrari will not stop there. Via Italia, official representative of the Italian manufacturer in the country, confirmed that other models will appear later this year — the new Portofino M is one of them.
The sports car, expected for September 2021, has the same engine as the Roma and debuts the eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The power is higher compared to the Portofino GT. The V8 3.9 biturbo gained 20 hp, which totals 620 hp and 77.5 kgfm of torque .
Ferrari even made several modifications to the engine control center and exhaust. Silencers have been eliminated. The “M” in “Modificatta” (modified) came about precisely because of these changes. In addition to the mechanical set, the Portofino M received visual changes, with larger air intakes and a renewed grille. The flashlight design is also different.
Inside, the only difference is the five-position Manettino, which adds the “Race” driving mode. In addition to it, there are Comfort, Sport, Wet and ESC Off settings.
It’s the price?
As the model only arrives in September, Via Italia claims that it is difficult to pinpoint an exact value, but we managed to make an estimate.
In addition to the Portofino M, Ferrari intends to bring the Roma to Brazil. The model, which will be the entry-level car in the country, had already been confirmed for the second half of last year , but it was delayed. The new arrival date was for June this year. At the time (May 2020), the super sports car was announced for $500,00. With the adjustment for the exchange variation, the value goes to $ 590,000. The Portofino M will be a little more expensive than the Roma in Brazil, as it will be the brand’s second “cheapest” model here — if we can put cheap and Ferrari in the same article.
