F-150 Lightning 2024: electric pickup gets Platinum Black edition

The new Ford F-150 Lightning 2023 has a range of up to 512 kilometers with a charge, performance from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.0 seconds and up to 1 ton of maximum load and up to 4.6 tons of towing capacity.

The new Ford F-150 Lightning can help generate power when the electricity goes out by keeping the house connected. All the backup power you need to keep the house running from your truck for up to 3 days.

In the front trunk of the Ford F-150 Lightning you can transport luggage, tools, or whatever you want in the space of up to 400 liters, there is plenty of space in the front. At 14.1 cubic feet, it’s the largest “frunk” front trunk of any all-electric pickup truck.

Ford F-150 Lightning Pro
The F-150 Lightning Pro pickup comes ready to run with standard driver assistance and 2.4kW Pro Power OnBoard, Ford Co-Pilot360 2.0 technologies. The spacious Frunk Front Baggage, the largest among all pickup trucks, carrying up to 1 ton. The F-150 Lightning Pro is equipped with the Standard Range battery targeting an EPA-estimated range of 370 kilometers.

pickup truck features a signature gray grille with unique front lighting, fabric seats, extended running boards with enhanced lighting, a 360-degree camera and an interior work surface. It features a 9.6kW extended range battery, Pro Power Onboard and the Ford Co-Pilot360.

The Ford F-150 Lightning LARIAT pickup features a premium geometric grille with satin gray ion gray finish, 20-inch carbon gray wheels, heated and ventilated leather-trimmed front seats, power tailgate, SYNC 4A with 15.5-inch touchscreen and features like panoramic sunroof, extended range battery and Ford Co-Pilot360.

Ford F-150 Lightning Platinum
Welcome to the top. The Ford F-150 Lightning Platinum upgrade features a blacked-out chrome grille, 22-inch high-gloss machined aluminum wheels with ebony black painted wheel arches, heated and ventilated Nirvana leather seats, multi-contour front seats with Active Motion, extended range battery , Bang & Olufsen B&O sound system, Ford Co-Pilot360 Active 2.0 and double sunroof.

The vehicle is based on the already luxurious Platinum configuration and will have an initial cost that is slightly higher than the 2023 Platinum version, which is valued at US$93,290.

This special edition is wrapped in matte black from supplier 3M. In addition to the blackened exterior, the pickup offers black 22-inch wheels, special badging, “smoked” lighting and a panoramic sunroof with unique graphics.

Inside, owners will enjoy a sophisticated ambience with black Nirvana leather upholstery and special edition serial number plaques.

Like all F-150 Lightnings Platinum, the Black version comes equipped with the Extended Range battery and a dual 580 HP engine, promising the same 300 mile (483 km) range as rated by the EPA. Additionally, Ford will offer a 3-year or 36,000-mile warranty specifically for the vinyl wrap.

The 2024 F-150 Lightning lineup will also feature upgrades that include an auto-lock function when exiting the vehicle and the updated BlueCruise 1.2 hands-free driver assistance feature.

And not only that, the integrated ProPower generator now turns on automatically when unlocking the truck, making life easier for users.

For current owners of a 2022 or 2023 Lightning pickup, Ford promises that these new features will be offered through software updates, demonstrating the brand’s commitment to continuous improvement of its products.
