The last important news in the Volvo XC60 2023 line was the change in its mechanical part, announced in May 2022 and shared with its bigger brother, the XC90 2023.
Its new electric motor is 65% more powerful, delivering 145 hp and 31.5 kgfm of torque. It works together with the 2.0 turbo engine with 310 hp and 40.8 kgfm, producing a total of 468 hp and 72.3 kgfm.
In addition, the battery has also been updated, jumping to 18.8 kWh, or 62% more than the previous model. As a result, the SUV’s electric range increased to 78 km.

The Volvo XC60 2022 arrived with some very discreet visual updates, but they should be enough to keep it interesting until more profound changes arrive.
Visually, they include new bumpers, a new grille, darkened headlights and wheels with a new design, changing in each version. Furthermore, the interior gained an updated multimedia center.
The system was created in partnership with Google, using Android Auto as its base. With this, occupants can access systems such as Google Maps, Assistant and others via the screen. The cabin also received new materials and an update to the radar and camera system.
The 2022 Volvo XC60 continues to be offered only with the hybrid package, consisting of a 2.0 engine with the help of an electric drive. In total, it delivers 407 hp and 65.3 kgfm of torque, connected to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The 2023 Volvo XC60 was available with three different engine types, but now only focuses on the most efficient hybrid option.
As a result, all versions come with a 2.0 turbo 4-cylinder engine with direct injection, which develops 310 hp at 5,700 rpm and 40.8 kgfm of torque at 2,200 rpm. It works together with the 145 hp and 31.5 kgfm electric engine.
As a result, the Volvo XC60 T8 2023 delivers, in total, 468 hp and 72.3 kgfm, numbers that command respect compared to any German competitor. In addition, it offers an electric range of 78 km.
In all versions, this set is linked to the eight-speed automatic transmission and AWD.
Before that, the most affordable models were equipped with a 2.0 T5 gasoline engine, equipped with a turbocharger, direct fuel injection, double overhead camshafts, aluminum components and four cylinders.
This unit is capable of developing 254 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 35.7 kgfm of torque at 1,500 rpm. The T5 gasoline engine works with an eight-speed Geatronic automatic transmission and AWD four-wheel drive system.
The intermediate configurations of the range hid under the hood the then new 2.0 D5 four-cylinder turbodiesel engine, equipped with the same technologies as the gasoline unit.
In this case, there are a good 235 horsepower, delivered at 4,000 rpm, and 48.9 kgfm of torque, at 1,750 rpm. As with the gasoline XC60 T5, the diesel XC60 D5 models also use an eight-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive system.
